Sreyan attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges (HWS) in New York on a competitive debate scholarship, and was selected as the Class of 2023 Commencement Speaker. As a competitor, he made history as the first Bengali debater to rank in the Top 10 ESL Speakers at the World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) and has earned over 50 awards at tournaments hosted by institutions including Yale, Cornell, and Oxford. His adjudication experience includes serving as Chief Adjudicator for NAUDC and Deputy Chief Adjudicator for ABP, two of the most prominent university debating championships in North America and Asia, respectively. As an educator, Sreyan served as Head Coach for the Bangladesh National Debate Team, where he developed a curriculum that contributed to an 11th-place finish at the World Championships. Alongside his competitive background, he has a strong interest in pedagogy, and has developed custom Learning Management Systems (LMS) and AI-driven classroom tools currently used by thousands of students across Asia.
