Steven

Instructor

Steven earned his B.A. from Northwestern University (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), where he double majored in Philosophy and Mathematics. He was awarded departmental honors for his thesis in political philosophy and the 2016-2017 Brentano Prize for a paper on decision theory. At Northwestern, Steven conducted and published research on philosophical ethics and human rights issues, and was an active contributor to the campus literary magazine and the campus newspaper. A TEFL/TESOL certified instructor, he pursued his love of education during college by working as a peer writing tutor and developing curriculum for an adult literacy program. At Capstone, Steven teaches Academic Writing, Scholars, and Writing, Discussion, and Thinking courses, and provides test prep lessons for students applying to US universities and boarding schools.
