Instructor
Alice graduated from the University of Manchester with a joint honours degree in English Literature and American Studies, and studied a semester abroad at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Throughout her education, she enjoyed reading a multitude of different texts, and writing strongly opinionated essays with a focus on feminist and postcolonial themes. During university, she tutored English and maths to disadvantaged children in Manchester, helping them to improve their prospects by getting into grammar schools and passing their key GCSEs. She found teaching to be endlessly rewarding, and after completing a TEFL course, moved to Hong Kong to teach English full-time. At Capstone, Alice hopes to help students find their own passions and voice through exceptional essay-writing and debate.
