Our Primary writing courses are designed to develop reading and writing skills in one of the three main writing genres: narrative, informational and persuasive. Throughout each course, students practice the important steps of the writing process – brainstorming, outlining logically, writing effectively, and revising thoughtfully.

To that end, our intensive writing courses are designed to develop critical reading and writing skills within four main genres: persuasive, informational, descriptive, and fiction. As within our Primary programs, the courses continue to emphasise the importance of the writing process – brainstorming, outlining, writing, and editing – in order to cultivate independent student writers.

Public Speaking and Debate
Public speaking and debate are fast becoming necessary skills in a world where people compete to prove that their ideas are the best. Whether it’s for the classroom or the courtroom, individuals are expected to present themselves in a confident and persuasive manner. Throughout this course, students will be taught methods and techniques to develop and present arguments that are strong, logical, and thorough to make for a compelling listen.

As students progress into secondary education, the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively becomes increasingly essential—both inside and outside the classroom. Our Secondary Public Speaking and Debate program builds on foundational skills to help students express complex thoughts with confidence, structure, and poise. Courses are tailored to suit all experience levels, from those new to formal debating to students aiming for competitive success. Through a combination of guided practice, constructive feedback, and exposure to real-world topics, participants will refine their critical thinking, research, and delivery techniques. By the end of the program, students will not only be better debaters but also more confident communicators, capable of engaging any audience with clarity, insight, and conviction.
